Iran has made a noteworthy assertion concerning transit charges by means of the Strait of Hormuz. The nation’s central financial institution introduced that the preliminary transit charge collected from ships passing by means of the strait is paid in “money overseas foreign money.”

The Iranian Central Financial institution acknowledged that the cost was deposited instantly into financial institution accounts in overseas foreign money. This assertion comes after earlier allegations that toll charges had been being collected in cryptocurrency.
