Hana Bank taps Euroclear blockchain for $100M bond issuance: Report

South Korea’s Hana Financial institution has reportedly issued a five-year, $100 million digital bond utilizing Euroclear’s blockchain-based platform.

On Monday, Yonhap Information Company reported that the financial institution used Euroclear’s Digital Monetary Market Infrastructure to situation the foreign-currency bond. The report described the transaction as the primary digital bond issuance in South Korea to straight use Euroclear’s blockchain infrastructure.
